Asset Systems Maintenance Engineer II

We are looking for an Asset Maintenance Engineer to manage the fleet of medium-voltage transformers at our renewable generation facilities (wind and solar). In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and availability of our assets, helping to keep energy flowing safely and efficiently.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform technical analyses of the medium-voltage transformer fleet across wind and solar facilities, ensuring reliability and operational availability.
• Monitor transformer operating conditions by analyzing technical data, maintenance records, and performance indicators to identify intervention needs.
• Manage technical databases and fleet information, ensuring data quality, traceability, and record accuracy.
• Evaluate inspection, testing, and diagnostic results, proposing corrective and preventive actions as well as performance improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support to field teams in failure analysis, repair scope definition, and maintenance follow-up activities.
• Prepare technical opinions, engineering reports, and recommendations focused on asset integrity.
• Contribute to the standardization of maintenance engineering processes and best practices, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of medium-voltage power transformers used in solar and wind generation facilities, including components, failure modes, and maintenance strategies.
• Intermediate experience with maintenance plans, methods, techniques, and diagnostics for electrical power equipment.
• Intermediate proficiency in maintenance management tools, performance indicator monitoring, and Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and electrical equipment used in renewable generation plants and substations.
• Basic English proficiency is required. Intermediate to advanced English or Spanish is considered an advantage.
• Strong critical thinking skills, accountability, discipline, and teamwork orientation.
• Preferred: experience with high-voltage transformers and underground medium-voltage distribution networks.
