Every year we offer students the chance to do an internship at ENGIE Belgium For the school year 2025-2026, concrete internship positions are still being defined, but you can already spontaneously apply as from today!
Your possible CHALLENGE as an intern:
To meet the challenges of the future, we need you! With practical baggage, a good theoretical background thanks to your studies and strong motivation, you can certainly convince us! Depending on where you live, your mobility and your interests, we can assign different internships to you.
Are you interested in one of the following fields: Electricity, Mechanics, Measurement and control engineering, Nuclear, Wind, Batteries, energy markets and sales or data?
Can you work at one of the following locations?
- Ghent region, location Ghent Seaport.
- Brussels region Drogenbos, Vilvoorde or at the headquarters in Brussels North.
- Antwerp region Zandvliet or the nuclear site in Doel
- Region Hainaut: Charleroi region or Saint-Ghislain
- Liège region: Coo or the nuclear site in Tihange.
YOUR PROFILE as a Trainee:
- You are a master's student in a technical and relevant field of study (electromechanics, mechanics, electricity, energy, power systems, instrumentations & controls, nuclear energy, data...).
- You have an affinity for and are fascinated by energy production.
- You are hands-on and practical: learning to understand technical (industrial) processes captures your attention. Because with us you get the unique opportunity to work at one of the various ENGIE power plants yourself!
- You speak Dutch or French and can also express yourself professionally in English.
- You are mobile and can reach one of the above mentioned sites on a daily basis.
- You have a strong safety and environmental awareness. You constantly take care of the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues!

The process:
CV screening: a relevant study background or proven technical baggage is a must.
- First short online introduction with you, our recruiter Els and a technical person at the table. This is where your motivation, personality and technical skills are first tested.
- Second physical meeting with your internship manager. In this meeting, we will go deeper into your motivation and technical skills.
