Renewables Gases (part of ENGIE), manages multiple anaerobic digestion (AD) facilities throughout the South West region. These facilities supply eco-friendly energy to residences and businesses in the area.

 


Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive Agriculture and Sustainability Coordinator to join our team. Working with the Senior Feedstock Manager and the Feedstock Management Team, this role will play a key part in managing crop and digestate logistics, supporting the feedstock and sustainability teams, and maintaining strong relationships with farmers and suppliers

 

This role is ideal for someone with a strong agricultural ackground and a passion for sustainability.  You will work closely with farmers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient processes, regulatory compliance, and the promotion of best agricultural practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, growers, and third-party suppliers.
  • Act as a liaison to resolve issues and support collaborative efforts.
  • Sustainability & Compliance
  • Support the Sustainability Officer in maintaining compliance with the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC).
  • Assist with Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) reporting and compliance with OFGE

 

Crop & Feedstock Co-ordination

  • Organise logistics for crop inputs and feedstocks
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery to support operational need

 

Agromonic Data & Analysis

  • Collect and analyse data agronomic data to support sustainability metrics and supplier audits.
  • Contribute to data-driven decision-making and continuous improvemen

 

Agricultural Trails & Best Practices

  • Assist with crop trials and promote sustainable farming techniques
  • Monitor crop quality and storage conditions, reporting any issue

 

Digestate Operations & Logistics

  • Manage the full lifecycle of digestate logistics, including transport, storage, and field application
  • Co-ordinate spreading activities in line with environmental and agronomic standards
  • Maintain accurate records using excel and other IT platforms
  • IT & Administrative Support
  • Using Microsoft and other ENGIE tools, manage data, raise PO’s and resolve invoice queries
  • Support the Business Development Team with operational insights for new project

 

Green Gas Support Scheme

  • Collaborate with the sustainability team to implement the Green Gas Support Scheme across new sites

 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Agricultural qualification or background (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • A self-starter with excellent business acumen and the ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems. Ability to interpret data and excellent attention to detail.  
  • Resilient and driven with ability to work on own initiative
  • A valid driving licence is essential

 

 

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in crop quality analysis and sustainability reporting.
  • Familiarity with PO systems and handling invoice queries.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
