Are you someone who knows how to persuade people?  Are you resilient when confronted with complexity and adversity?  Do you have a passion for energy and the appetite to learn how a power plant work? Are you willing to contribute to a carbon neutral future which ENGIE wants to achieve in 2045?

Then ENGIE, leader of the Energy Power Transition, needs YOU!

For the department EMS (European Maintenance Support), in the Aeroderivative Solutions  team that reports directly to the head of the department, Jetse Bautmans, we are currently looking for Technician Aeroderivative Gas Turbines (M/F/X)!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Technician Aeroderivative Gas Turbines

In this position you get the opportunity to gradually grow towards a key role within our Aero division.

In the long term you will:

  • Lead complex maintenance projects, in-depth revisions, and interventions within the Aero division.
  • Provide support for the management and optimization of a fleet of industrial gas turbines (with a particular focus on Aeroderivative gas turbines such as LM6000, LM2500), applying innovative techniques and constantly searching for improvements.
  • Independently perform in-depth inspections, analyze technical problems ‘in the field’ and offer a solution together with an Expert.
  • Coordinate the (dis)assembly of gas turbines and take the lead over multidisciplinary teams during challenging projects.
  • Intensively collaborate with specialists from other EMS product lines (such as Heavy-Duty GTs and alternators), allowing your knowledge and experience to grow quickly.

This position therefore not only offers you a technically challenging job, but also a clear growth path towards a specialist role within an innovative and international context.

YOUR PROFILE as Technician Aeroderivative Gas Turbines

  • You possess an associate's or bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience (mechanics, electromechanics, aerospace technology) and have a passion for high-tech machines.
  • Experience with gas turbines, aircraft engines, or derivative technologies is a plus, but motivation and eagerness to learn are decisive.
  • You are hands-on, analytically strong and communicate smoothly with colleagues and customers.
  • You are flexible and mobile: you work at various locations (especially in Belgium, but also internationally as in the Netherlands, France, and Greece)
  • You master Dutch or French and have minimal a basic knowledge of the other, and speak fluent English.
  • You are a team player.
  • You always take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues!

WE OFFER YOU as Technician Aeroderivative Gas Turbines

  • A high-tech work environment where innovation, safety, and passion for technology are central.
  • A top team of specialists led by Jetse Bautmans, where knowledge sharing and collaboration are paramount.
  • Maximum freedom and independence to organize your work, with attention to a healthy work-life balance.
  • An enormous variety of projects, machines (including GE, Solar, Siemens, Alstom), and clients (ENGIE power plants and industrial players).
  • Extensive training opportunities: from on-the-job training to developing new competencies.
  • Intensive guidance from day one by a personal mentor.
  • A stable company that offers job security and growth opportunities.
  • staff contract (38h) of indefinite duration with a competitive salary package consisting of:
    • a basic salary that is indexed monthly and supplemented by different premiums depending on the work regime (shift premium), the place where you work (mobility premium) and the number of overtime hours worked (overtime premium and compensation through leave days).
    • Annual double vacation pay, collective bonus and year-end bonus.
    • 33 leave days + all days to compensate for overtime worked.
    • Medical expenses will be reimbursed for you and your family members.
    • Hospitalization insurance and supplementary pension plan.
    • Cell phone and data subscription.
    • Internet at home (Belgium)
