At ENGIE, great adventures always start with a simple "hello" and the desire to take action for tomorrow. If, like us, you strongly believe the energy transition holds opportunities for you and for everyone, then look no further, you belong with us!
Our goal is to be the best energy transition utility, and we have an ambition to reach net zero emissions by 2045. In Australia, this includes flexible power generation, energy retail services for homes and businesses, advanced energy management solutions, and a growing portfolio of future-focused projects — from hydrogen and battery storage to wind and solar developments.

About the Role

We are seeking a Civil Works Supervisor to support the delivery of the Pelican Point Battery (PP-BESS) project.

This is a Fixed-Term Contract role intended to support key deliverables over an estimated period of approximately 18–24 months. Please note that while the role is project-driven, timelines may shift based on business needs.

You’ll work closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to coordinate activities, monitor progress, and maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a landmark renewable energy project and make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor civil construction activities for compliance with project plans and regulations.
  • Coordinate onsite activities between contractors and suppliers to minimise disruption.
  • Implement and monitor ENGIE’s health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Review quality of works and manage corrective actions where needed.
  • Report on progress against project schedules and assist with payment claims.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including local community and regulatory bodies.

About You

You’re a proactive leader with a passion for delivering high-quality civil works in a safe and efficient manner. Your ability to manage complex site activities and foster collaboration will be key to the success of this project.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A tertiary degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (mandatory).
  • Experience in construction site or civil works environments, ideally within renewable energy projects.
  • Strong project and contract management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, combined with a collaborative approach.
  • Confidence to lead, influence, and maintain safety standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, project scheduling tools, document control systems, collaboration platforms, and HSE compliance software.
