Context

The EGM Accounting Department is structured around four complementary teams: Business Accounting (dedicated to trading activities), Opex (focused on overheads), Transversal topics (including IT developments and process improvements), and Regulatory Reporting. Together, they ensure the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of EGM’s accounting and reporting processes

 

Your Mission

 

As EGM Accounting department Manager, you will be in charge of the following operational tasks :- Supervise the daily accounting production of EGM's trading activities and overheads

- Supervise monthly closing exercises (closing entries, justification of accounts within your scope, analysis of economic/accounting discrepancies, etc.)

- Supervise regulatory reporting activity

- Prepare budget and financials for EGM;Participate as EGM Accounting point of contact in all of EGM's structuring projects (IT chain for processing transactions through to accounting, structure project, business project, cash-related projects etc.

- Lead accounting stream for SEM and Group projects that have accounting impact on EGM;

Note that EGM’s accounting complies with the accounting plan for credit institutions (PCEC).

You will also be the point of contact for the external auditors for any questions about the EGM legal entity.

You will contribute to all initiatives aimed at automating, improving and controlling the accounting production processes.

As a team manager you will animate the teams (Business Accounting, Opex, Transversal, Regulatory reporting ≈12 people) and support the professional growth of team members. You will also propose and implement synergies within the EGM Accounting department.

As part of your duties, you may be asked to contribute to any other activities in the department. You will also interact extensively with other finance departments within GEM, our partner BU's and the Group's central services.

  • String experience in accounting, knowledge of PCEC is a must
  • Experience in operational Team management
  • A background in operational team management
  • IT skills, good expertise of Excel.

Education & Experience

Master Degree in accounting, audit or finance (BAC+5)10+ year experience including operational management of a team.

Languages: French speaking with a high-standard level of English.

Travels:Travel is to be expected (in Brussels in particular).
