Your mission
As Resident Engineer – Electrical (Substation) in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will manage the electrical engineering portfolio of high-voltage power substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). You will ensure technical, HSE, and financial performance during design and construction supervision, while overseeing complex site works and maintaining client and stakeholder coordination.
Your key responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of substation electrical engineering during design and construction supervision.
- Supervise and manage technical works for 400kV / 220kV / 132kV substations on behalf of the Client (TRANSCO).
- Oversee site activities and ensure construction strictly follows approved designs.
- Monitor, report, and resolve non-conformance issues.
- Plan, organize, and supervise engineering and inspection activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards throughout project execution.
- Manage client and customer interfaces to ensure strong relationships and effective communication.
- Review, verify, and close out installed quantities.
- Provide progress reports and advise on technical solutions where required.

Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering with a focus on substation projects in the UAE.

- Strong technical expertise in substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV).
- Skilled in site supervision, project management, and construction monitoring.
- Knowledge of utility requirements, contract procedures, and QA/QC processes.
Your soft skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong coordination skills with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Proactive problem solver with an eye for detail.
Preference
- Prior experience with TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA or other major UAE utilities will be highly preferred.
