Your Mission

As Assistant Resident Engineer – Civil (Cable) in our Power & Transmission department, you will contribute to our mission every day by supporting the Resident Engineer in overseeing the civil works related to underground cable installation projects. You will ensure that all construction activities are executed in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising civil works related to cable trenching, ducting, and backfilling.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and utility providers to resolve site issues.
• Review and verify civil work method statements, inspection requests, and material submittals.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
• Ensure proper documentation of site activities and maintain records of inspections and approvals.
• Support in managing quality control and ensuring timely completion of civil works.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and providing on-site engineering solutions.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in civil supervision, preferably in underground cable or utility infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, materials, and quality standards.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and permitting processes.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of project management tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
