This notice (“Notice”)
will provide information on our data processing
activities concerning your personal information
collected/ required to connect and to use ENGIE
Candidate Portal (i) to create your user account to
store your application information and/or (ii) to apply
for a specific job opening in an Entity that belongs to
ENGIE North America Inc. or its affiliates and its
subsidiaries (“ENA,”
“we” or
“us”).
The relevant entity to which you’re applying
for a job position is indicated within the specific job
offer. If you are a California resident, this Notice
considers the rights you may exercise, and obligations
set forth in the California Consumer Privacy Act
(CCPA).

ENA has implemented this data-processing for
the following purposes:
• To enable you
as a candidate, to apply for a job position posted by an
entity belonging to ENA or its relevant
affiliates;
• To enable you,
with your consent and according to your preferences
described below, to join the pool of candidates used by
ENGIE to promote its open positions;
• For recruiters,
to allow the management of your candidature
including:
- The storage and review of your Curriculum Vitae and
any relevant information you have provided;
- Automating the hiring process (identifying and
organizing candidates through an automated
process).
In this data processing, the below categories
of personal information may be collected about you
including sensitive personal information:

Identifiers
(e.g., name, surname, phone
number, address);
•
Education
information (degree, credential
and dates);
•
Protected
classification information
(e.g., gender, race/ethnicity, military or veteran
status, disability);
•
Professional or
employment-related information
(e.g., Curriculum Vitae, position and job occupied,
characteristics of the position sought by the
candidate); and
•
Candidature/application
process related information including the application
submission information
(sourcing, social networks, spontaneous application),
the results of tests carried out as part of the
recruitment process (e.g., technical skill evaluation,
language skills test) background check status
and the general assessment of the suitability of the
application for the position to be filled.
Your personal information including your candidature
profile is retained for a period of 24 months after the
last connection activity to your profile. At the end of
this period, your personal information including your
candidature profile will be automatically purged.
In addition, if you have not been selected for the job
position, information related to your application
management and the assessment of suitability for a job
position (e.g., cover letter, tests or meeting notes)
will be purged 12 months after the end of the
recruitment process.
Your personal information will be processed by the
relevant administrative and recruiting services of
ENA.
Your personal information can also be accessed by some
ENGIE Information and Technology employees and its
subcontractors (Accenture, Textkernel and SAP), as part
of their mission to maintain the application.
Access to your data will be based on the
“need to know”
principle.
Your personal information may be transferred outside the
United States and in particular to some ENGIE IT
subcontractors who participate in the application
maintenance maintain the application from India. Such
transfers will be subject to reasonable controls to
protect the relevant information and access by ENGIE
employees is covered by binding corporate rules.
While creating your account in the ENGIE Candidate
Portal, you will have the possibility to choose the
visibility level of your personal information amongst
the 3 following options:
Option 1: Only recruiters managing jobs I apply to (ENGIE recruiters can only see your profile when they are involved in the job(s) you applied to and will not be able to approach you for other job opportunities)
Option 2: Only recruiters managing jobs of an ENGIE Entity in your country / region of residence (ENGIE recruiters managing jobs that are located in the same country as of your current country of residence can potentially see your profile and approach you for other job opportunities).
Option 3: All recruiters managing jobs of all ENGIE entities worldwide (all recruiters within ENGIE can potentially see your profile and approach you for other job opportunities).
You will have the possibility to change that
option by yourself, anytime, by accessing your Candidate
Profile in the ENGIE Candidate Portal.
Use of the automated decision-making technology:
In the context of its recruitment activities, ENGIE uses
TextKernel tool to help recruiters efficiently and
objectively select the most qualified and suitable
candidate for a job position.
Your application will be automatically processed by
TextKernel to identify your skills and your professional
experience using keywords selected by the
recruiter.
TextKernel employs algorithms to sort your application
based on their relevance to the search criteria set by
the recruiter (skills, professional experience,..).
Your application will be classified by
Textkernel according to the keywords identified by the
recruiter for the position he or she is looking to
fill.
The recruiter will then analyse the list of candidates
suggested by TextKernel and decide who will be retained
for the rest of the recruitment process.
You have the right to contest the decision using
automated technology and also the right to request a
human review in order to obtain a re-examination of your
situation and/or an explanation of the decision taken or
to contest it within one month of receiving the
recruiter's decision not to continue the
recruitment process. This right does not prevent you
from exercising the rights mentioned in point
below.
In accordance with the applicable regulations and based
on your residency, you may exercise your rights to
access, correct or delete your personal information. You
may also have the right to request the limitation of the
use of your sensitive personal information under certain
conditions.

Please note that in order to process your request to access, correct or delete your personal information we must be able to verify your identity and then request you provide additional information as proof of your identity.
If you believe that one of your rights have been violated, you can submit a complaint to the California Privacy Protection Agency (https://cppa.ca.gov/webapplications/complaint/) and/or to the California Attorney General (https://oag.ca.gov/contact/consumer-complaint-against-business-or-company/).
