This notice provides you with information on the Processing of Personal Data when accessing and using an ENGIE recruitment portal*. 

Please note that there is an ‘Accept’ and ‘Decline’ button attached to this Privacy Notice. Due to technical issues, this cannot be removed. 

Please choose  ‘Accept’. This confirms that you have read the policy, with no other implications in this (e.g. no consent to anything). If you hit ‘Decline’, you will be asked to confirm your decision. If you do so, a profile will not be created for you and you will not be able to apply for a job offer. 

 

1.  Purpose of the Processing 

The Processing has the following purposes : 

           a) Allow the candidate to create an account prior to submitting an application. 
           b) Allow the candidate to apply for a specific open position by an entity belonging to the ENGIE Group. 
           c) Enabling ENGIE to manage the application (job interview, transmission and retention of resumes,..) . 
           d) Enabling ENGIE to automate the hiring process. 
           e) Enabling the candidate to subscribe to other job offers of the ENGIE Group. 

 

2.  Who is the Data Controller 

The Data Controller is the legal entity of ENGIE offering to position or to which the candidate applies.   

 

3.  Processing ground 

Information collected when you visit a website application of the ENGIE recruitment portal is processed on the basis of legitimate interest of the Data Controller.  

Processing of Personal Data for subscribing to other job offers of ENGIE will only be processed with your consent. 

By submitting your application, you declare that your Personal Data is true, accurate, complete and not misleading. In addition, you authorise the Data Controller to take all reasonable steps to verify the Personal Data provided by you at any time during the application and selection process where this is permitted within the local legal context. 

 

4.  Which Personal Data we collect from you 

The categories of Personal Data collected in this Processing are the following: 

  • civil status (name, surname,..) ; 
  • personal information (telephone number, address, e-mail,..) ; 
  • training/education (degree, credential and dates) ; 
  • professional experience (position and job occupied,..) ; 
  • characteristics of the position sought by the candidate ; 
  • application submission (sourcing, social networks, spontaneous application,..) 
  • results of tests carried out as part of the recruitment process (technical skill evaluation, English test,..); 
  • general assessment of the suitability of the application for the position to be filled. 

 

5.  How long we store your Personal Data 

Your data are stored for 5 years after the last connection to your profile. 

 

6.  Who are the recipients of your Personal Data 

Your data will be used by the relevant ENGIE recruiting and administrative services.  

When creating your account in the Engie Recruiting portal, you will have the possibility to choose the visibility level of your data amongst the 3 following options:  

  • Option 1 : only recruiters managing jobs I apply to (ENGIE recruiters can only see your profile when they are responsible for the job(s) you applied to and will not be able to approach you for other job opportunities) 
  • Option 2 : Only recruiters managing jobs of an ENGIE Company in your country / region of residence (ENGIE recruiters managing jobs that are located in the same country that you have chosen as your current country of residence can potentially see your profile and approach you for other job opportunities). 
  • Option 3 : All recruiters managing jobs of all ENGIE companies worldwide (all recruiters within ENGIE can potentially see your profile and approach you for other job opportunities). 

You will have the possibility to change that option by yourself, at any point by accessing your profile settings in the ENGIE recruiting portal. 

Access to your Personal Data will be based on the “need to know” principle. Your Personal Data can for example also be accessed by ENGIE IT employees and its subcontractors, as part of their mission to maintain the application. 

 

7.  Safeguards and Transfers 

Your Personal Data may be transferred outside of the European Union for application maintenance purposes by subcontractors of Engie IT. These transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses. A copy can be obtained by sending a request to dataprivacy-spain@engie.com

 

8.  Your rights 

In accordance with the Regulation, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification or erasure of your data. You also have the right of objection, limitation and portability of your data.  

To exercise your rights, you are invited to send your request to dataprivacy-spain@engie.com The Data Controller may ask for a proof of identity (such as a copy of an identity card) to be joined to your request.  

The Data Privacy Manager (and the Data Protection Officer when there is one nominated for the Data Controller) can be contacted by sending a mail to dataprivacy-spain@engie.com  

If you feel, after contacting us, that your rights are not being respected, you can file a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) (https://www.aepd.es/es)
