Meet our colleagues Corporate Services

Anne-sophie: “ A positive news report on projects energises me”

“I’m a spokesperson for ENGIE, an absolutely fantastic job! I sometimes have to explain things in front of the camera, occasionally on the weekend. Radio and television broadcast news every day. Fortunately, I have a very efficient team. We take turns working weekends. But when a crisis hits, we’re all ready to go. Fortunately, most news is good news.

Such as the inauguration of the Ecaussinnes wind farm, for instance, which was attended by hundreds of local children. A positive news report on projects and colleagues energises me.

Do I talk to my kids much about my work? Not really, since I prefer to listen to what they have to say
in the evening and on weekends.”

Joy: "I love the atmosphere on the site. Everyone says hello with a smile."

To strengthen and extend the team, the HR Corporate department chose the smiling UPtimist Joy Ernould. She started working at the Tihange Nuclear Plant in May this year.

As a new recruiter for the Tihange site, Joy regularly works from our offices in Brussels as well. Her main role is to recruit external applicants.

After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in HR and a master in Labour Sciences, she gained her experience in a temping agency. Thirsty for new challenges and opportunities, she joined ENGIE and became an in-house recruiter.

Joy has a 21-month-old son and her husband is from Huy. “I’m familiar with the region’s mentality and I love it, despite the fact that I’m a Bruxelloise at heart!”

Her challenge for the Tihange site is to find the best people to work in the field — applicants who will have the right mentality and the technical skills to integrate as quickly as possible and work efficiently. And off course to meet the manager’s goals and blend in with the team.

“I love the atmosphere on the site. Everyone says hello with a smile. It’s really nice to go to Tihange twice a week. I am also delighted to have joined the HR team and I settled in immediately.”

Anthony is gepassioneerd door zijn job en een echte optimist die zich dag in, dag uit volop inzet.

A sales engineer by training, I joined ENGIE 19 years ago.

Over the past years I was able to discover different departments and to acquire varied experience and knowledge. Today, I work as Senior Business Developer Innovation and demonstrate my passion for energy efficiency by dedicating myself to ‘Cozie’, a new company, which specialises in energy efficiency and optimisation solutions. My work as Senior Business Developer Innovation is cross-functional across the different ENGIE structures: Electrabel, Cofely, Fabricom, Axima, Tractebel and now Cozie. This is quite logical because its aim is to make them work towards the key group objectives, in particular to decarbonise Belgium. It involves monitoring and exploring technological innovations and identifying which ones are realistic and hold potential. Energy is an extremely complex topic. It’s down to us to make it comprehensible to as many people as possible and to show what is feasible and what is not. All these different aspects make my role absolutely fascinating.

In this business, we have to be creative and try to encourage all stakeholders — both public and private — to move in the same direction and accelerate the process. Our offer is zero carbon as a service! Working at ENGIE is motivating, in particular thanks to the variety of projects and business sectors that we can support in the energy transition. It’s a company that can truly have a positive impact on Belgian society as a whole. Making companies, homes and public buildings more energy efficient is a mission that makes our work more fascinating than ever.”
