This informative notice explains which personal data the affiliated companies of the Engie Group in Belgium collect and process from you when you use the website https://jobs.engie.com/belgium and for what purpose we use that data.

What information do we collect?


Two different types of data are processed via https://jobs.engie.com/belgium:


1. To apply for a position, Engie asks you to provide certain personal information such as a name, email address and telephone number. Based on this, your file is created and supplemented with data from your application, such as your work experience, education and training, competences, qualifications and work preferences. Documents such as CVs can also be attached. Work-related questionnaires or video interviews can be included in the selection process.
2. When using the website, the following things are tracked with Google Analytics. Please read our Cookie Policy for more information.


How do we use personal information?


The first type of data is used to analyze the behavior of our website visitors, to improve the usability of our website. This data is only used for statistical analysis and is not linked to an individual user profile.


The purposes of this data processing are:


1. Manage internal mobility and external recruitment;
2. Publish vacancies internally and externally;
3. Manage internal and external applications;
4. Provide quantitative recruitment management elements for ENGIE


On what basis do we process your personal data?


Engie collects the personal data you provide and uses this data to process your request, taking into account the legal basis for the processing of personal data.


Information about visitors' website navigation is processed on the basis of legitimate interest. It is our priority to make the website as user-friendly as possible for the visitors of the website.


Personal information submitted to apply for a position will only be processed with your permission.


By submitting your application, you declare that your information is true, accurate, complete and not misleading. In addition, you agree that Engie will take all reasonable steps to verify the information you provide at any time during the application and selection process, where permitted within the local legal context.


How long do we keep your personal data?


Personal data shared through your application will be stored in our Applicant Tracking System for 24 months. Engie will contact you before the 24-month period has passed and will ask you to update your details. If you do not want to update your data at that time, your profile will be automatically deleted. You can view, edit and delete your file at any time by contacting Engie at staffing@engie.com.


User data tracked with Google Analytics will be deleted after 24 months.


When do we share personal data?


Your personal data is divided into two scenarios:


1. Data shared between the joint controllers, namely the affiliated companies of the Engie Group in Belgium and
2. Data shared with our data processors. If these processors are located outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards are taken to protect your data.


Your rights regarding personal data


As a data subject, you can exercise various rights in relation to your processed personal information, as set out in relevant data protection laws:


- the right to access your personal data;
- the right to rectification of your personal data;
- the right to erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten");
- the right to data portability;
- the right to restriction of processing;
- The right to object.

Where do we store and process personal data?


Only ENGIE HR employees have access to your application in our Applicant Tracking System. This information is used for the following purposes:


- as part of your application for a specific position;
- to ensure that you are placed on a candidate list if you chose this option;
- to inform you about other vacancies if you checked this option;
- if you have been selected for a position, your data will be used for your onboarding process and HR administration;
- Your contact details can also be used to improve your experience applying to Engie and to improve Engie's recruitment process.


User data tracked with Google Analytics is hosted in Google data centers.
